09.01.2024 MGBC Dr. Josh Morea Chasing the Glory: Embracing God's Presence in Our Lives
Thank you, Praise Team and choir, for leading us this morning. Today, we continue our series on the glory of God by delving into Exodus 33. Last time, we discussed the posture and attitude we should have when His glory falls. Today, we will explore the prayer Moses prayed, asking God to show His glory, and the importance of seeking God's presence in our lives.
Moses felt a distance from God after the incident with the golden calf. Just as in our personal relationships, distance can indicate a need for reconciliation and renewed closeness. Moses' prayer, "Show me your glory," reflects a deep longing for God's presence, a sentiment we should all share. This episode emphasizes that life's greatest pursuit is the glory of God, and we are created to glorify Him and enjoy His presence forever.
Drawing from personal experiences and biblical teachings, we learn that pursuing God's glory means seeking His presence, humbling ourselves, and allowing His character to be written on our hearts. Like Moses, we should plead for God's glory, position ourselves in humility, and pursue His presence with all our might.
The message concludes with a call to action: to repent, humble ourselves, and seek God's glory daily. Whether through prayer, worship, or studying His word, we are encouraged to make God's presence our ultimate goal. Join us in this transformative journey to experience the fullness of God's glory in our lives.
